My Favorite Video Game

by Steven LeDrew

All kinds of video game systems, like the Sony Playstation Portable and the Microsoft Xbox 360, have released some excellent video games. From realistic sports games to brilliant fantasy role-playing games to thrilling and intense military games, today's modern video games are so advanced, that it's sometimes it's hard to distinguish real life from the video game! As well as the games, some of the music of today's video games are so well done, they belong on an iPod Nano, rather than in a video game.

A video game that I enjoy playing over and over again is one for the Playstation and the Sony Playstation Portable called Medievil.

There is something about this game that's really intriguing and addicting at the same time. As Sir Daniel Fortesque, you are the main character and hero of the game. And, by the way, you're also dead. But, through the magic of the Sony Playstation Portable, you return to life to once again battle the evil forces of, well, evil. There have been many games with the same concept developed for other systems like the Microsoft Xbox 360. But, for some reason, it really works and works well on the Playstation and Sony PSP video game consoles.

This game is loaded with everything. The soundtrack for this game is definitely iPod Nano quality. Each part of the soundtrack corresponds beautifully with each unique level and area of the game, so that rather than playing a video game, you feel like your actually watching a spooky, scary and gothic movie - with you as the star! The voice work and graphics are some of the best that you'll experience and play on the Sony PSP.

There are lots of games that get tons of marketing and publicity thrown behind them. And, for the most part, the attention is well deserved, as the more popular games are often some of the best and most innovative titles ever created. But, once in a while, a smaller title gets released that is an absolute gem and soon becomes a cult classic video game. For me, Sony really hit a home run by releasing Medievil, and now that's it's available on the Sony PSP, it's even better than ever!
