Article Writing Tips
Writing articles as a means of marketing is really not a complex task, it actually a great way to bring in website traffic. Your articles will do more than that, though, as they will also establish your reputation as an authority in the given field. The best part is that it is an inexpensive way of marketing, with the largest expenditure coming from the time it takes you to research and then write the articles.
People want well written and interesting articles. Don't be left behind with the changing times and ways of writing books and articles. Follow these four great methods:
Make sure there are no errors in your articles. Proofread the articles yourself and/or use proofreading software. Poor grammar, spelling, punctuation and capitalization will be a turnoff to prospective customers. And run-on or dangling sentences and comma splices are downright tacky. You're showing customers a piece of yourself and your business in every article you publish, so make sure you're displaying yourself in the best possible light.
Come up with a marketing plan, and remember that it isn't just for yourself that you are writing it. The main purpose that you have is to reach your target audience, and you must take careful aim at them if you want their attention. Make a list of all of the possible article directories or e-zines that you could use to submit your articles, then study up on them to make sure that you know how to write an article that will be acceptable to them.
Sprinkle keywords throughout your articles. For best exposure to the widest audience, your articles must hook the search engine in addition to hooking the reader. Tools such as Google Adwords and Yahoo Overture can help you choose the most effective keywords to include.
Hone your skills. Writing is a craft, and there are no definite guidelines on how to really go about it. Thus, it should be your prerogative to explore the art and develop your writing skills.
