Hellgate London Review - Spoilers Inside

by Jessica P

There was a lot of hype surrounding this game, and plenty of people were eager to play it. The problem with that is that the game didn't really hold up to all of that hype.

Don't go thinking this online game review was written to bash the London game, that's not it at all. It was just bland. After you listen to people and media saying all kinds of great things about something, you start to think this is going to be super-awesome, or at least something you've never experienced before.

But there was nothing about this game that was new, incredible, or breathtaking. There were some parts you could get excited about, and it was fun. These parts need to be scooped up, magnified and used to make the entire game the same way.

If you read another Hellgate London review, and it says that the game was amazing, or that it lived up to it's expectations, they will be lying. It's rather like smiling and complimenting your girlfriend or boyfriend instead of telling them that their new hairdo really looks bad, because you'd rather not hurt their feelings.

One of the other weak points of this game is the ultra confusing stats. It's hard to keep track of each and every weapon doing different kinds of damage. Even so, it's pretty cool to see that it's possible to do different kinds of attacks.

Another point in the game's favor that should be noted in this Hellgate London review is that you can now break down items and free up inventory space. That helps make room for all that gold you want to get! Hey, it doesn't get any cooler than that. Remember, if Hellgate London doesn't do it for you. There are plenty more games out there.
